Details
Our bodies utilize glycine to make proteins. Glycine is an amino acid that is found primarily in muscle tissue, connective tissue, skin and other protein-containing structures in the body. Glycine may be obtained naturally by consuming high protein foods such as meats, fish and beans.
Proteins play a role in constructing and maintaining the critical structures and functions of the body. Adequate intake of amino acids is necessary because the body does not readily store surplus amino acids from food or supplements. Amino acids also play a role in the formation of enzymes and hormones.
